This month’s spotlight interview is with our SEO expert, Adam
In our recent blog, we had a little coffee catch up with our SEO Manager, Adam to chat about everything from his first job, to his experience so far in digital!
What was your first job?
My first job was at Sainsbury’s, which I did not enjoy! I then went on to work at a golf club bar which I loved and then to installing solar panels on roofs in Australia in 40 degree heat, a very diverse range of jobs!
Why did you choose digital?
I’ve always voluntarily run the social media accounts for my cricket team, and one day realised that I could maybe make a career out of doing something like that, which is why I entered the world of digital marketing. After a while I fell into SEO, and loved the diverse and ever changing work that it offers.
What advice would you give someone who is new to the industry?
Stay up to date with all the latest trends, try new things, come up with new ideas and just experiment with different strategies! You’ll find something that works in the end!
How do you find remote working?
Remote working was not for me! I much prefer being in the office, having those silly ‘water cooler chats’ and just being able to socialise with the rest of the team. I think I missed the Friday pub trips the most though.
How long have you been at Seed?
Almost 3 years.
What department do you work in currently?
I work in the SEO department, across technical & content SEO.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I like how SEO is always advancing and you have to keep up to date with the ever changing Google updates. I also enjoy the keyword research side of things, understanding what users are searching, how users are searching and tailoring websites to this.
Since you started at Seed, how have you seen it change?
Seed has moved on loads in the last 2 years. I’ve seen us grow in size with some amazing new members joining the team, we’ve expanded our service offerings & streamlined / improve the core service that we offer to all our clients. I’m looking forward to being part of the ongoing growth of the company.

Whats something that you want to do in the next year that you haven’t before?
I’d love to go cage diving with Great White Sharks, it’s been at the top of my bucket list for a long time and it’s definitely something I want to try and do!
What’s the weirdest fact you know & want to share?
Brighton has the highest density of pubs per square mile in the whole of the UK. What a place to live!
