Our Impact & Sustainability

Growing businesses for good.
Let’s face it, those icebergs ain’t melting themselves, and we know that it’s only by taking collective responsibility to secure the planet’s future that they’ll be a future at all. So we’re all in.
We not only want to become more sustainable as a company ourselves, but we also want to help the businesses we work with do the same.
From our clients to our suppliers, we’re looking at how to work together to grow successfully and responsibly. We can achieve this by looking after our people and communities, protecting our planet, and promoting ethical, sustainable businesses as the first choice for consumers on a global scale.

What we’re doing:
Partnership with Mossy Earth
Our partnership with Mossy Earth is a crucial part of our sustainability efforts. By planting 528 trees in the last year alone and contributing to 22 rewilding projects, we are supporting the restoration of habitats, promoting biodiversity, and helping to mitigate climate change. Mossy Earth is a social enterprise that focuses on rewilding and reforestation projects, and we are proud to support their work.
Tree Planting in the Community
We’re no gardening experts, but getting out and about in nature and doing some good for the local area felt like a pretty good way to spend a day. Trees play a crucial role in mitigating climate change, improving air quality, and supporting biodiversity – so they’re kinda nice to have around. We have organised several tree-planting initiatives in our community, working with local organisations to plant trees in parks, community gardens, and other public spaces.
Beach Cleaning in Brighton
We love working by the sea, but unfortunately (usually when the sun comes out and it’s bbq & beer o’clock), our beloved beach sometimes gets left in a bit of a state. So we organised a beach clean in Brighton to help keep our seas and beaches spick and span, promoting responsible tourism and protecting marine life. Our team members donned our finest hi-vis vests and collected plastic waste, cigarette butts, and other litter from the beach. It’s essential to take action to protect our environment and promote sustainable practices, and beach cleaning is an excellent way to raise awareness and take concrete steps towards achieving these goals.
Supporting Local Charities
At Seed, we are committed to supporting local charities that positively impact our community and the wider world. Over the last year, we have donated to several charities, including the
Motor Neurone Disease Association, Alzheimer’s Society, Raystede, Target Ovarian Cancer, Crohn’s and Colitis, and Breast Cancer Now. Our charitable contributions reflect our values and commitment to promoting social and environmental welfare.Green Energy Partners
When your goal is to be more sustainable, switching to green energy is kind of a no-brainer. At Seed, we are committed to using only green energy in our office and have been doing so since 2018. Promoting renewable energy sources is essential in mitigating climate change and promoting sustainable practices. By using green energy, we are reducing our carbon footprint and supporting the growth of the renewable energy industry.
Packing Christmas Hampers
We’ll use any excuse to get into our Christmas jumpers during the festive season! So for the past few years, we’ve spent some of our office Christmas party day giving back to our community. Like a gang of merry elves, we’ve helped the invaluable White Hawk Food Bank get Christmas food and gift packages together for low-income families, and in 2022 we spent a memorable morning with the incredible team at Bloom cafe creating Christmas packages and handmade cards for the Women’s shelter. Both these organisations work tirelessly to provide food and other essential supplies to vulnerable members of our community. By supporting their efforts, we are promoting social welfare and helping alleviate some of the challenges those in need face.
What we’re pledging:
6% of our profits
Seed has committed to putting aside 6% of our profits to support charities and environmental projects. We donate each quarter and collectively decide where the money should go. This has been a fantastic initiative as team members have been able to choose those charities closest to their hearts. Our charitable giving reflects our values and commitment to positively impacting the world and giving back to those who need it most.
B Corp Certified
To be B Corp Certified is to demonstrate our business meets the high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency. To achieve this certification, we must show our commitment to employee benefits and charitable giving and implant rigorous supply chain practices and input materials to minimise our environmental impact. We will be assessed on our social and environmental performance and obliged to make a legal commitment by changing our corporate governance structure so that we are accountable to every stakeholder. We must also demonstrate transparency, being open and honest about our performance measured against B Lab’s standards – which is publicly available on B Lab’s website.
Becoming a regenerative company
We aim to become a regenerative company by 2026, meaning we help regenerate the environment through our direct actions. We commit to giving back more than we take by continuing to support local communities, avoiding any unnecessary waste, and looking after our employees . Our goal is to become a leader in our industry, specialising in sustainable marketing and using our knowledge and lessons learned to help other companies become more sustainable too.
Our Partnerships
We believe that businesses have a responsibility to operate in a socially and environmentally responsible way, and we are committed to partnering brands that share this belief.
We pledged to only work with clients that are not destructive to the climate and share our socially conscious values.
This means that we carefully screen all potential clients to ensure that they meet our standards for sustainability and ethical business practices. We look for brands that are taking steps to reduce their carbon footprint, minimise waste, and promote social justice and equality.
We believe that by working exclusively with climate positive and socially conscious brands, we can make a meaningful contribution to creating a more sustainable and equitable future.
Our People
We pledge to continue being living wage employers, ensuring that our team members are compensated fairly for their hard work and dedication. We also prioritize fair recruitment practices, ensuring that every candidate is given an equal opportunity to showcase their skills and experience.
Moreover, we embrace the new way of working with a flexible hybrid approach, allowing our team members to work from home or in the office, whichever suits them best. This approach ensures that we are able to attract and retain top talent, and allows our team members to achieve a better work-life balance.
In addition, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact by implementing a reuse, reduce and recycle policy. This policy ensures that we minimize our waste, and responsibly dispose of any waste we generate. We believe that it is our responsibility to do our part in preserving our planet for future generations.
